Letter Title: “Unity of God”
At times of great peril, we turn to a supreme being, God for help. Our concept of God may be different but most religions believe there is one Supreme Being. My religion Islam teaches that God is one and has no partner. Belief in the Unity of God is essential to Islamic credence. The Holy Quran teaches that God sent Prophets to different nations with a central message: The unity of God. (16:37) Over time, It is the people who stray from these teachings and create false idols and start worshiping them instead of the One Supreme God. God is not white nor is he black. God is not male or female.
Further elaborating on this, the founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Messiah has said, “The God of Muslims is not stone, star or a dead person, on the contrary, it is the All-Powerful God Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; Who is Living, the Self-Subsisting and All-Sustaining.”
This absolute Unity of God also leads one towards unity among human beings. As Muslims, when we stand in congregational prayers five times a day at every Mosque, we are all standing in unity regardless of one’s color or financial standings. The fourth Caliph to Messiah Ahmad, His Holiness Mirza Tahir Ahmad says in his book ‘An Elementary Study of Islam’, “This gives birth to the universal concept of equality in Islam, which is its distinctive feature. Hence from the vantage point of God, all human beings, wherever and in whichever age they were born, stand equal in His sight.”

En momentos de gran peligro, recurrimos a un ser supremo, Dios en busca de ayuda. Nuestro concepto de Dios puede ser diferente, pero la mayoría de las religiones creen que hay un Ser Supremo. Mi religión, el Islam, enseña que Dios es uno y no tiene pareja. Creer en la Unidad de Dios es esencial para la Islámica. El Sagrado Corán enseña que Dios envió profetas a diferentes naciones con un mensaje central: la unidad de Dios. (16:37) Con el tiempo, son las personas las que se desvían de estas enseñanzas y crean ídolos falsos y comienzan a adorarlos en lugar del Único Dios Supremo. Dios no es blanco ni es negro. Dios no es hombre ni mujer.
Para seguir explicando esto, el fundador de la Comunidad Musulmana Ahmadiyya, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, el Mesías Prometido, ha dicho: “El Dios de los musulmanes no es piedra, estrella o una persona muerta, por el contrario, es el Dios Todopoderoso que creó los cielos y la tierra y todo lo que hay entre ellos; El está vivo, se sustenta por Sí mismo y Sustenta a todos.
Esta es la unidad absoluta de Dios lo que guía la humanidad hacia la unión. Como musulmanes, cuando rezamos oraciones en congregación cinco veces al día en cada mezquita, todos estamos unidos, independientemente del color o la posición financiera.
El cuarto Califa del Mesías Prometido, Su Santidad Mirza Tahir Ahmad dice en su libro “Un estudio elemental del Islam”, “Esto da a luz al concepto universal de igualdad en el Islam, que es su característica distintiva. Por lo tanto, acerca de Dios, todos los seres humanos, encualquier lugar y en cualquier edad en que han nacidos son iguales”.
