Letter Title: “Halloween

Halloween is celebrated in many countries on October 31st every year. The holiday originated from Pagans who believed that the dead or evil spirits return to this world and harm the living. Many people take part in many activities, including trick-or-treating and dressing up in costumes. People even paint their faces like skulls to represent the dead.

God has given us beautiful faces; why should we destroy them by painting them to make us look frightening. Life is a blessing that God has bestowed upon us all, so why would we ever want to dress up to look like we are not living.

The worldwide spiritual leader of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may God be his Helper) stated: “The message of Halloween is thus the existence of witches, evil spirits and satanic worship. It is extremely wrong to ‘believe in’ things that are supernatural even if it is for fun.”
